In the early 2000s, I worked with a company trying to develop a novel way to treat antibiotic-resistant infections using viruses that attacked the harmful bacteria. I learned that scientists had been struggling to make such a treatment viable since the 1920s. It looks like we've begun figuring out how to crack that nut!
